Taiwan Alishan Fragrance Oolong Tea — Wholesale & Private Label Ready
A Legendary Taiwan Oolong with Over 150 Years of History
Dong Ding Oolong traces its origins to 1855, when scholar Lin Fengchi brought 36 Qingxin Oolong tea plants from Wuyi Mountain, Fujian, back to Taiwan — 12 of which were planted on Dong Ding Mountain in Lugu, Nantou, giving rise to the region's tea-growing tradition. Today, Dong Ding Oolong remains one of Taiwan's most celebrated teas, cherished by tea lovers worldwide as "the sedan chair of the sky".
Tea Profile
Brewing releases a subtle roasted note alongside a rich, ripe-fruit aroma. The liquor delivers a lively, bouncy mouthfeel that slides smoothly and refreshingly down the throat, with a lingering sweetness that stays long after each sip.
Origin Note
While Dong Ding Oolong originates from Qingxin Oolong grown in Lugu, Nantou, the same varietal is now also cultivated in the Alishan region — where higher altitude and reduced sunlight produce a naturally sweeter profile, combined with centuries-old processing techniques passed down through generations.
